Liverpool bought from Newcastle defender Jose Enrique, the fifth player manager Kenny Dalglish who purchased this transfer season.
25-year-old player was reportedly purchased for a fee of Euro 6 million.
"This is one of my happiest day. I came to one of the biggest clubs, not just in Britain, but in the world," said the Spaniard.
In addition to Enrique, Liverpool also bought Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Alexander Doni and Stewart Downing in this transfer season.
"I am pleased with the new players bought because it shows the ambition of Liverpool," added Enrique has signed a long-term contracts.
"They spend millions in January to buy Andy (Carroll) and Luis Suarez and the middle of this year, they also spend a lot of money to other players.
"My ambition is to win with Liverpool. This year, we did not go down in the Champions League, so the most important thing is to try to win the league."
Enrique add Liverpool history convinced him to move to Anfield.
"They've won many things, including the Champions League," he said.
Enrique joined Liverpool about 24 hours before the League starts.
Liverpool will entertain Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday (13/08).
Enrique joins Newcastle from Villarreal in 2007 with a value of 6.3 million pound transfer. He rebuked Newcastle last month after criticizing the decision to sell a big player like Carroll and Kevin Nolan, via his Twitter account.
